When Are SPDs Required?

Under Amendment 3 of BS 7671, SPDs must be assessed for all new installations. They are particularly recommended where loss of supply could cause danger, financial loss, or disruption — including homes with smart systems, solar PV, EV chargers, and sensitive electronics.
